Previously, this district, now more commonly known as Lippo Karawaci, was called Cimone District. This district is also set to become a truly self-sufficient city, no longer dependent on Jakarta, as all necessary facilities are available within the area. Karawaci has also been a driving force behind the growth of Jakarta’s western corridor and has the potential to replace South Tangerang as an upscale hub. This is evident from the abundance of developed facilities, including shopping centers, educational institutions, office spaces, and sports facilities. Moreover, its well-developed infrastructure, multiple access routes to Jakarta, and ample available land keep Tangerang a preferred residential area. It’s no surprise that Karawaci has grown into an elite district.
