Prinsip 1: Kesederhanaan Bentuk
Pada rumah kecil, kamu harus membuatnya lebih sederhana dalam hal bentuknya.
Itu karena, jika rumahnya penuh ornamen, justru malah terasa sempit dan “berat”.
Nah, prinsip kesederhanaan yang dimaksud adalah:
- Menghindari terlalu banyak lekukan pada dindingnya.
- Menggunakan garis lurus dan komposisi yang rapi.
- Fokus pada proporsi, bukan dekorasi yang berlebihan.
Jika menerapkan prinsip itu, rumah tipe 36 atau tipe 45 bisa terasa lebih luas karena tidak terpotong oleh elemen visual yang tak perlu.
Tampilan interior rumah pun jadi tidak bikin mata cepat lelah.
Prinsip 2: Gunakan Warna Netral
Warna netral adalah warna-warna dasar yang tidak terlalu mencolok atau tidak kuat ke satu spektrum warna tertentu.
Dengan karakteristiknya tersebut, warna netral lebih mudah dipadukan dengan warna lain.
Beberapa contoh warna netral di antaranya:
- Putih (white)
- Putih gading / off-white
- Krem / beige
- Abu-abu (terang hingga medium)
- Coklat muda (warna kayu alami)
- Hitam (biasanya sebagai aksen, bukan dominan)
Untuk diketahui, warna netral bisa berpengaruh terhadap persepsi ukuran ruang.
Selain itu, warna ini juga bisa membantu memantulkan cahaya dan membuat ruangan terasa lapang.
Jadi, jangan mengaplikasikan cat gelap saja atau cat yang terlalu banyak kombinasi pada rumah kecil, karena akan membuatnya semakin terasa sempit.
Prinsip 3: Jangan Terlalu Banyak Sekat
Prinsip berikutnya, adalah jangan terlalu banyak menggunakan sekat permanen.
Itu karena, setiap dinding tambahan akan memecah ruang dan mengurangi kesan luas.
Berikut adalah pengaplikasian prinsip ini pada rumah kecil:
- Menggabungkan ruang tamu, ruang makan, dan dapur
- Menggunakan perbedaan lantai, plafon, atau pencahayaan sebagai pembatas visual
