Selain itu, tanah zona hijau juga diperuntukkan bagi ruang terbuka hijau di perkotaan atau taman.

Pemerintah daerah menetapkan 70 persen lahan untuk kebutuhan ini.

Tanah zona hijau ada untuk menjaga kelestarian lingkungan alam sehingga tidak bisa diubah menjadi zona kuning, kecuali pemerintah daerah mengubah peraturannya.
